We are happy to support you in changing your company name. Below we have summarised the three most important points for this mutation for you:
 

  1. Names that are already in use or misleading are not permitted.
  2. Registered brand names and logos are protected and not permitted.
  3. Too much similarity with the name of already registered companies is to be avoided.


In all cases, we will be happy to check the desired company name for you in advance and provide you with an appropriate feedback.

Please note, however, that this is not an official preliminary check by the Trade Register Office. If you would like a preliminary check, we will be happy to arrange this for you with the Trade Register Office. You will be informed of the price in advance.

FAQ about name change

In addition to the official fees for the entry and publication of the changes in the commercial regis-ter, additional expenses may be incurred, for example for the certification or apostille of signa-tures. If additional costs are incurred, we will be happy to inform you in advance.

The processing of a change in the commercial register depends on various factors. The type of change requested, the time it takes to obtain all the necessary signatures and the workload of the commercial register office all play a role. As a rule, simple orders without certification can be published in the commercial register within two weeks of the order being submitted. Orders with certification take about three weeks to be completed.

The partners or shareholders are represented for the notarisation by means of a power of attorney and therefore do not have to appear personally before our notary.

Our system adopts the changes from the commercial register and automatically updates the details of the companies and persons. This takes place one day after the publication of the changes.
