Diese mit dem Verein verbundenen Einrichtungen werden wirtschaftlich selbstständig geführt und sind in der Regel rechtlich selbstständig konstituiert. Der Verein ist politisch und konfessionell unabhängig. Der Verein ist nicht gewinnorientiert. Die Organe, abgesehen von der Revisionsstelle, sind ehrenamtlich tätig.
