Er unterstützt die Schaffung optimaler Rahmenbedingungen für die regionale Industrie bzw. Startbedingungen für Jungunternehmen und Start Up's im 'Lab Science Tool-Bereich'. Er betreibt zu diesem Zweck ein Zentrum 'Toolpoint', zum Kompetenzausbau und um die übergeordneten Bedürfnisse der 'Lab Science Tool'-Industrie zu vertreten und zu erfüllen bzw. Unternehmens-Gründungen zu erleichtern und zu unterstützen. Er arbeitet eng mit Hochschulen zusammen.
