Das langfristige Ziel des Vereins besteht darin, dass die rechtlich gültige Grenze des Masoala Nationalparks neu verhandelt wird und die Bedürfnisse und Rechte der lokalen Bevölkerung dabei adäquat berücksichtigt werden. Die Vereinsmitglieder teilen die Überzeugung, dass die Bewohner/innen dieser Dörfer das Recht auf eine selbstbestimmte Existenz in ihren Dörfern haben; die Bewohner/innen dieser Dörfer das Recht auf die Bewirtschaftung von Land haben, das ihnen nach traditionellem, lokal anerkanntem Recht gehört, und dass dieses Recht auch dann besteht, wenn keine schriftlichen Landbesitzdokumente existieren; die Existenz des Masoala Nationalparkes diese Rechte nicht aufhebt..
