Die Erhaltung und Förderung der ökologischen Stabilität der Natur, unter anderem durch Zuwendungen an die Forschung und durch Unterstützung von Projekten auf ökologischen Gebieten, wie zum Beispiel der Forst- und Waldwirtschaft. Die Wissensvermittlung im Rahmen aller Zweckbereiche der Stiftung, unter anderem durch Förderung von Information und Ausbildung. Das Tätigkeitsgebiet der Stiftung erstreckt sich auf die ganze Welt, soll aber schwergewichtig in Europa, insbesondere auch der Schweiz, liegen.
