Sie stellt der Appenzeller Käsewirtschaft auf Antrag des Geschäftsführers Mittel zur Verfügung; a) zur Unterstützung von Massnahmen für eine nachhaltige Qualitätsförderung, b) zur Leistung von Beiträgen für Werbeaktionen zur Förderung des Absatzes von Appenzeller Käse, c) für die Entwicklung neuer Produkte und, d) zur Pflege von Ursprung und Tradition. Der Mitteleinsatz beschränkt sich grundsätzlich auf den jährlichen Überschuss aus Aufwand und Ertrag der Stiftungsrechnung des Vorjahres. In Ausnahmefällen darf zusätzlich maximal 10 % des Stiftungsvermögens eingesetzt werden.
