Lo scopo della Fondazione è esclusivamente di utilità pubblica. La Fondazione ha per scopo la progettazione, la raccolta finanziamenti, l'acquisizione a titolo gratuito dal Comune di Mendrisio, di un diritto di superficie per sé stante e permanente di almeno 40 anni da intavolare a Registro Fondiario in conformità agli art. 675 e 779 segg. CC su un'area di circa mq 1'506 del mappale no. 204 RFD di Mendrisio-Genestrerio, su cui realizzare la costruzione e poi la gestione di una palestra polifunzionale denominata "SportAcademy", che verrà messa a disposizione con concessioni d'uso di lunga durata a prezzo equo alle due Associazioni fondatrici per lo svolgimento dei loro scopi sportivi e delle loro attività di pubblica utilità a favore della gioventù, oltre alla possibilità di utilizzo della struttura da parte di altri enti senza scopo di lucro e di pubblica utilità, di regola pure al beneficio dell'esenzione fiscale. La Fondazione dovrà sottoscrivere tutti i contratti di mandato, appalto, domande di costruzione, ricorsi ed in genere ogni atto necessario al raggiungimento dello scopo del suo scopo, ivi inclusi la supervisione della direzione lavori in qualità di mandante e gli atti di presa in consegna dell'opera ultimata e la liquidazione delle fatture finali.
