Die Alters-Stiftung-Eglisau unterstützt ältere Menschen unserer Gemeinde in finanzieller Not mit ausserordentlichen Beträgen. Im Rahmen ihrer finanziellen Möglichkeiten gewährt sie Zuschüsse an ausserordentliche, zweckdienliche Anschaffungen und Veranstaltungen, die das Leben der Bewohnenden des Alterszentrums erleichtern oder abwechslungsreicher und angenehmer gestalten. Bei vorhandenem Bedürfnis unterstützt die Stiftung auch ältere und pflegebedürftige Menschen von Eglisau ausserhalb des Alterszentrums mit Beiträgen, ungeachtet ihrer Religionszugehörigkeit oder ihrer politischen und sozialen Stellung. Weiter fördert sie alle gemeindeeigenen Massnahmen und Institutionen (z.B. Aufgaben der externen Alters- und Krankenpflege), welche für älter werdende Menschen eine Hilfe bedeuten.
