Er verfolgt ausschliesslich gemeinnützige Zwecke und unterstützt die Tageswohnung als NON-Profit Unternehmen, es wird kein Gewinn angestrebt. Der Verein setzt sich für die Beratung und Unterstützung der Angehörigen ein. Der Verein leistet Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Er weist die Bevölkerung auf die Möglichkeit der teilstationären Betreuung für demenzbetroffene Menschen hin und auf deren wichtigen Stellenwert in Ergänzung zu stationären Einrichtungen. Der Verein fördert die Zusammenarbeit und die Vernetzung mit bereits bestehenden teilstationären und stationären Institutionen, mit der Spitex des Quartiers, Ärzten und den Baugenossenschaften in der näheren Umgebung. Der Verein setzt sich für die Weiterbildung der Mitarbeiterinnen der Tageswohnung ein.
