Er räumt dem verantwortungsvollen Einsatz dieser Techniken zum Wohle der Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft einen hohen Stellenwert ein. swisslCT verfolgt folgende Ziele: Vertretung der Belange der ICT-Branche in der schweizerischen Öffentlichkeit und Politik; Förderung des Erfahrungs- und Meinungsaustausches unter den Mitgliedern durch Bereitstellung entsprechender Plattformen; Durchführung von Tagungen und Ausbildungsveranstaltungen, die den Mitgliedern, ihren Mitarbeitenden und weiteren Interessierten Einblick in die Weiterentwicklung und den innovativen Einsatz der ICT ermöglichen; Unterstützung von Ausbildungsgängen und Berufsprüfungen im Bereich der ICT; Schaffung von Transparenz in der Branche durch die Definition von Berufsbildern, die Durchführung von Salärumfragen, die Bereitstellung von Musterverträgen, die Unterstützung von Standardisierungsbestrebungen, usw.; Unterstützung der Mitglieder durch Vermittlung von Schiedsrichtern/Schiedsrichterinnen, Gutachtern/Gutachterinnen und die Herstellung von Kontakten; swisslCT kann weitere dem Verbandszweck dienliche Tätigkeiten ausüben.
