Der Verein vereinigt Lehrkräfte, Kantone, Verbände, Institutionen und Ski- und Schneesportschulen, die sich mit der Ausbildung von Lehrkräften und dem kommerziellen und nichtkommerziellen Schneesportunterricht befassen. Insbesondere verfolgt der Verein die folgenden Ziele: a) die zielgerichtete Förderung, Entwicklung und Verbreitung von Schneesport und Schneesportarten; b) eine gesamtschweizerisch koordinierte Aus- und Weiterbildung von Lehrkräften und Schneesportschulleitern mittels: ba) Weiterentwicklung der gesamten Aus- und Weiterbildungskonzepte im methodischen, didaktischen und fachlich-sportlichen Bereich; bb) Herausgabe von zeitgemässen Lehrmitteln für die im Rahmen des Vereins geförderten Schneesportarten; bc) Organisation und Durchführung von Kursen im Sinne der Aus- und Weiterbildungskonzepte; bd) Aus- und Weiterbildung von Ausbildnern, Experten und kompetenten Lehrkräften in der Schweiz; c) die Durchführung eines wirkungsvollen Marketings, um die Kurse und Dienstleistungen des Vereins und der Schneesportschulen zu fördern, anzubieten und bestmöglich zu verkaufen; d) Sicherung eines positiven Images der Lehrkräfte und Schneesportschulen in der Schweiz; e) Sicherung von geeignetem Nachwuchs an Lehrkräften und Schneesportschulleitern; f) Pflege der internationalen Kontakte mit gleichgesinnten Organisationen.
