Die Stiftung bezweckt die Schaffung eines Kompetenz-Zentrums für das systematische Sammeln, Ordnen und Dokumentieren der Werke anerkannter Schweizer Graphic DesignerInnen - mit dem Ziel, wichtige Leistungen aus ihrem Schaffen im Sinne des Kulturerbes der Nachwelt zur erhalten und dadurch der internationalen Bedeutung der Schweizer Gebrauchsgrafik die gebührende Anerkennung zu sichern. Dafür pflegt die Stiftung eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit geeigneten Institutionen, insbesondere bezüglich Aufarbeitung, Archivierung und Ausstellung der Nachlässe. Des Weiteren bezweckt die Stiftung die Unterstützung von Lehre und Forschung an diesen Werken. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbshilftezwecke.
