Lässt es das Stiftungsvermögen sowie der Stiftungszweck zu, kann die Stiftung zwecks Erweiterung der Sammlung auch weitere Standorte betreiben. Sie kann die Kunsthallen kaufen oder mieten. Die Stiftung kann unter Berücksichtigung des Stiftungszweckes Förderbeiträge für Kunst und Kultur ausgeben. Die Stiftung hat gemeinnützigen Charakter, verfolgt keinerlei Erwerbszweck und ist vorrangig in der Ostschweiz tätig.
