Sie sollen sowohl der ländlichen wie auch der städtischen Bevölkerung in Entwicklungsländern leicht zugänglich sein. Die Stiftung wird diesen Zweck durch Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeiten erfüllen, die international anerkannte und führende wissenschaftliche und ethische Standarts erfüllen. Die Stiftung versteht sich als komplementär zu bereits existierenden Initiativen und wird mit diesen eng zusammenarbeiten.
