Der Verein ist ein gemeinnütziger internationaler Dachverband für die nationalen Verbände oder Sektionen und individuellen Mitglieder anthroposophisch-pharmazeutisch Tätiger. Zweck des Vereins ist die Verbesserung der nationalen und internationalen Versorgung aller Menschen durch die verstärkte Implementierung und lntegration Anthroposophischer Pharmazie in nationale und internationale Gesundheitssysteme. Im Einzelnen sind Ziel und Aufgaben: Vertretung der anthroposophisch-pharmazeutisch Tätigen in der anthroposophisch-medizinischen Bewegung und im öffentlichen Leben auf internationaler Ebene; Erstellung von Standards für die Ausbildung und Weiterbildung in Anthroposophischer Pharmazie zur Herstellung, Beratung von Patienten, Ärzt:innen und Therapeut:innen zur Verbesserung der Versorgung mit anthroposophischen Arzneimitteln; Erstellung von Standards für die Qualität, Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit der Anthroposophischen Arzneimittel und Unterstützung bei der Implementierung dieser in den Gesundheitssystemen; Förderung der Forschung in Anthroposophischer Pharmazie; Erstellung bzw. Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von anthroposophisch-pharmazeutischen Fachpublikationen sowie Ausbildungsmaterialien für die Anthroposophische Pharmazie für die internationale Anerkennung in der pharmazeutischen Fachwelt; Aufbau eines kollegialen Netzwerkes von anthroposophisch-pharmazeutisch Tätigen; Initiieren/ Koordinieren internationaler Aktivitäten in der Anthroposophischen Pharmazie sowie in der Zusammenarbeit mit Partnerorganisationen und medizinischen Fachgruppen.
